Hi, i’ve updated the german translation with a few words. Here the Code if you want ;). // Nachbesserungen What i can’t translate is is “Just replace snippet by the snippet name you want to include.” and “view this page”. Can you help me with this ;). Greets and Thx |

Oh im wrong: ‘Published date’ => ‘Freigeschalten am’, a better translation is: ‘Published date’ => ‘Veröffentlicht am’, Sorry ;) |

Hi Stephan – I’m currently updating the German translation using the new translation templates from HEAD. I’ll certainly incorporate your additions (if they still apply) and will send an update to the maintainers within the next few days. |

Hi there – I just sent the updated translations to Philippe, so they should appear in the SVN trunk soon. I integrated the updates from Stephan and updated the file to the current SVN version of Frog (future version 0.9.5?). It would be great if someone would proof read the translations in order to find errors or mis-translations. Hi Peter: Thanks for your continuing interest in extending Frog – much appreciated! In the past few months, mvdkleijn or myself have usually been the ones committing these sorts of updates to SVN. It’s easy for me to grab the code from Github. Just one question — are you convinced that “URL” is the best way of translating “Slug”? My sense is that “URL” could be misleading. The “Slug” is the form of the page title used for the URL … is there one word for this auf Deutsch? The term was used in earlier versions of Wordpress, so maybe it is possible to see how it was translated there? As far as I can tell, the closest German equivalent would be “Reglette” — but that isn’t quite right in this context! David. |

Ok, URL is not the best translation. Can you call it Title (Titel) or Page Titel (Seitentitel) or Page Name (Seitenname)? ;) |

Hi David, Typo3 says “Speaking URL path segment:” also in the german version ;). But Speaking URL path is very bad ;). Can we call it “Path”(Pfad). Or that could be also mislead. Have you read my artikel about the utf-8 converting in the backand? We have a problem with all “ö,ä….” Can you ad the following line into the admin/index.php? header(‘Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8;’); Greets |

David – if you’re fine with Github, I’ll just post here when an update is available and you can download it from there. Stephan + David – I like “Pfad” quite a lot, but I think it could lead to confusion within the admin interface: it’s just above “Klickpfad” (Breadcrumb). What do you think about calling it “Permalink”? This is not quite correct, but I think it’s understandable, and in most of the cases the slug is the permalink anyway, it’s only with articles that the permalink differs (”/articles/2008/11/12/title”). This is what Wordpress has to say about it:
The German Wordpress translation calls this “Titelform” which I don’t think is very clear… Other ideas: “ID”, “Lesbare URL”, “Linktitel” |
