I was recently looking around some other CMS, (mostly examining features) and I came across one that I think would be a useful (although I think somewhat difficult to do). It was provided with modxcms (www.modxcms.com) and basically instead of just having a "link' eg. ?portfolio/bob.php each page was also given a "alias" that was linked to the "link' button in the WYSIWYG editor, which would produce a drop down menu of all the pages the cms had produced whch could then be clicked on to link to a page.

No doubt difficult to do, but would improve the functionality. Does anyone here have the skill/time to do this or is it worth hiring a programmer to do it?

this is a nice feature !! not so complicated to do with a drop down, but for now markdown and textile plugin still very basic and I'm not sure I want to add this feature yet !!

but it's on my idea list thank you

Thanks Philippe, it's just something that came up when I was doing a website for a not-for-profit group here, they indicated that they might have a little bit of trouble with the basic markdown and textile interfaces and if I use the tinyMCE on it kills all my contact forms and php code.
