What was the file name of the ZIP? I have the source files on a live site but I’ve made a couple of code changes.

Dear Bdesign or whoever is smart enough to help,

PROBLEM: When I try to create new album, the title and the desription is wrongly put to the database – Polish characters like ‘ążśźćęół…’ (possibly any other language too) look like Å, eg. instead of: “Galeria śćelo” there is “Galeria Å”.

BUT: when I modify the gallery’s title and description with Polish characters, everything works fine. There are correct Polish characters.

SO: there must be a small mistake with character set utf-8 (?) or something that causes problems while ADDING and does not cause any problem while MODIFYING. Can you please help? I can’t resolve it by myself :(

Hi everybody. I would like to thank Bdesign for his gallery plugin and share some ideas about it. In fact, there are some things that (imho) make it a little bit unusable:

• there is no way to create an album from a folder: I can’t ftp-upload images and then put them into the gallery.
• images are named by id (a number!) into the filesystem: they are there, ready to be used from the page editor but I can’t guess which image I should pick. I think keeping the real name or creating one with the title field would be really better.
• images from all albums are put together in a chosen folder on the filesystem: wouldn’t it be better if every album had its own folder (named with the album name, forcing it to be unique)? Maybe with a “thumbs” subfolder each, to store thumbnails.

I would like to know what you all think about these possible changes.

First of all I must thank for this wonderful plugin.
Great job!

However, there are few things that imho need touching:

• + album category tree
• + (setting page) to add option of choosing photos order (newest-to-oldest / oldest-to-newest)
• + (album page) to add option of rearranging the order of photos (drag and drop)
• - possibly a bug: I can’t upload more than 6 photos using 7 or more upload fields.
• + to add option of uploading many (many more) photos at once with one upload field (multiple selection).
• + to make albums descriptions not required or to add option of turning off description fields.
• + to add function of limiting number of displayed photos (e.g. 3 newest) [luce modification]

Oh no! Please make this only optional. The requirement to (re)name photos would be a nightmare when I have to upload more than 500 photos ;) Numbers are simple and clean.

The fix with languages now works like a charm, but I noticed that there is no possibility of deleting or editing photos inside the gallery – as far as I remember there was EDIT | DELETE options after you moused over the photo but now it’s not there. Maybe I have done something wrong? Hmmm…
