Hey Guys, I’ve been working on this website for a long time and I’m pretty stoked to announce it officially. My website is the CMS Design Resource. It features information for designers and developers about Content Management Systems like Frog CMS. It has news as well as a design showcase. (You can add your sites if you’d like). What I could really use your guys help on is reviewing Frog CMS and some of the other CMS’s on the site. Here’s where you can review Frog, and here’s where you can find other CMS’s you may have worked with before. Thanks a bunch, I’d love any comments or ideas for improvement. |

Nice site. Do you know if there’s any good Django-based CMS like Frog or Radiant? |

@TheJester12 – ditto what ricks said: nice site! I noticed a couple small issues, though: the Kentico page seems to pull in too many links (underneath the “score” box); and too bad the thumbnail of the lovely Trefethen Wines site (which is the Frog example!) isn’t getting pulled in (not at the moment here, anyway!). Good work! |

Posted a little review on your site. But i can’t update my review? That would be a welcome feature, because constant development on the CMS, it can happen that some negative points are “fixed”. |

I added a review too! Lovely site, it was really easy to navigate and everything generally worked as I expected to. Although I would make sure you have a thank you page to confirm forms have submitted correctly (on the design gallery form) as its not always clear without one whether or not your request has worked. On the whole though a very coherent website, bookmarked ;) |

From the page.
You can use images with Asset manager plugin.
Designer who cannot understand simple PHP tags most likely cannot understand any template tags either. |

Thanks for posting reviews guys, I definitely think the site will be much better when there are a decent amount of reviews to be found. @ricks, No, I don’t know much about Django CMS’s, but I suppose I should look into them! @David, thanks for the a few corrections, took care of a few errors, I’ll see what I can do about the Trefethen site. (thumbalizr.com kinda sucks, but its free… might have to switch to a paid service at some point) @Luuk & Valeska, thanks for the reviews! Good idea about editing, I’ll research it. @tuupola, Yeah, good points. But I had to write about CMS’s as they were without plugins, otherwise you could probably say every single one did everything… Glad you guys liked the site, it’s been a long time in coming! =) |
