Hey davep I just found solution and problem is solved. It appears that Frog is sensitive to folder names. i uploaded asset plugin folder named as tuupola-frog_assets but when i changed it to assets it started to work. Same was for jquery jquery ui folder and naehrstoff-image resize. Try that maybe it helps you too. Ou and Tuupola i’m intrested that maybe you can show the pic how the folder are you named? |

It is good idea to read installation instructions :)It says to put Assets plugin files to assets folder. Also the installation tarball puts the files to correct folder. I guess you used githubs automatical zip generator download? It adds the github username in front of the file / folder name. |

You have somehow messed up the default settings. Disable and enable the plugin once to recreate the default settings. |

Do three things.
PS. I just did a fresh install from SVN but could not reproduce the problem. |

I have to admit I am also having trouble getting the thumbnails to generate with the asset plugin. All steps provided seem to be correct: 1. Frog 0.9.5 RC2 using PHP 5.2.6 is running with GD library. I then browsed for images and uploaded them in Assets tab. Little grey boxes appear without images and the boxes link to their coresponding images fine. It is just the thumbnails aren’t appearing … the thumb filenames are generated with .64c attached to the filename but I can’t get the actual thumb images to generate. Not sure what else I can do. |

It seems there is some combination of Frog + PHP + plugins + something which causes Assets plugin to fail. I try to find the combination. Otherwise I have no idea what to fix :) Kristjan: What browser do you use? Does the problem exist with other browsers? |

I’m just doing a tiny bit of head-scratching … not sure how the mechanism of Assets works, but could another potential problem be the way a host’s PHP is configured? Might it affect the way Peter Gassner’s ImageResize works….?? Don’t know! Just thinking out loud… |

tuuploa, you mentioned that when you select another folder form the drop down the asset manager is fixed. My only problem is, that even when i upload a file via the asset manager, I get the small white boxes instead of the image I uploaded…. |

i thin too that the trouble maker is the ImageResize becouse it don’t greate those thumbnails filename.64c.jpg…i don’t have one of those files in server…also i tryd to make that file my self and i uploaded it to assets folder, and when i put /assets/ for folder undersetting it seems like plugin starts to show only those assets what i’m uploaded then setting where just assets…but when i upload with /assets/ it doesn’t work either |

Right click on the broken image and open it on the separate window. What is the URL and/or error message you see?
I have some free time at the moment so working on it. I just did a CLEAN install of 0.9.5-stable. Installed all the needed plugins exactly as written in instructions. Everything worked out of the box. Can you (Kristjan) put and page with phpinfo() online on the server you have problems with and send the url to me (tuupola_at_appelsiini.net)? I mean page with has just the following code: |

You mean the files DO appear on the server hard drive but they are 0 bytes size? |

Hi @Tuupola, Thanks for your work on this. I have the same problem (thumbs not created) and have just posted a reply in another (image_resize) thread The files are linked correctly but the thumb images are not created/nonexistent so the link results in a 404. EDIT: So, even in 0.9.5 with the latest image-resize plugin there is a path issue when Frog is in a subdirectory? Another question: I can now drag the thumbnail in the editor, but how do I display not only the URL but a valid IMG element? Probably somewhere in the JS? Any ideas? |

Tuupola, Appologies … I should have used more implicit descriptions. I meant that the thumb filenames are generated in the html source and that there are no actual files being created on the server. |

I right clicked on the white thumbnail images and opened in a new window and it opened the following page: http://173.45.236.219/frog/admin/assets/bk-leftPanel.gif and the image displayed in the browser fine. |

If your config says assets dir is /assets or assets it means files are being uploaded to wrong directory. The file should exist in: http://173.45.236.219/frog/assets/bk-leftPanel.gif Do I understand correctly you have installed Subdirectory frog instead of document root? |

Your webserver must have write access to the assets directory and the directory must exist. |

Ok I guess I figured out the oddball whiteboxes problem. I was accidentally able to reproduce it in one 0.9.5-RC2 instance. So Kristjan and others if you could test Assets 0.4.5-RC1 to see if it fixes your problem. It works with my 0.9.5-RC2 and 0.9.5. |

ok i try’d that, and now it don’t upload files :S and don’t create the assets folder to the server where to upload pictures EDIT: Assets says “Unknown problem with your upload.” |
