BD Gallery Troubles

I’m having a bit of a battle trying to get the BD Gallery plugin to work with version 0.9.5 of Frog CMS. The problems I encounter are:

- Not being able to upload images successfully every time.

- I get the error ‘This category does not exist or there are no photos in it.’ even though it does exist!

- When hovering over a thumbnail under one of the albums in the admin section, I do not get the edit/delete option that slides up and down.

I’ve tried using the mod-rewrite version but I have the same problems with it.

Any ideas??

I have the latest version of BD Gallery installed (aug-09?) and not only do I have no access to the edit/delete option, but the main gallery page won’t show any thumbnails.

The album pages do show thumbnails, it’s just the main gallery page that only shows a single line of links to albums.

So far, though, uploading does work.

Hi,
you need to create a “photos” folder in the public folder… (see Configuration plugin)

Yes, I do have a gallery folder in the public folder, with a+w permissions.

However, do you mean that I should call that folder “photos”?

I managed to get the javascript popup edit/delete working by re-uploading the plugin’s /adm folder, so there must have been a corrupted at some point.

However, things worked perfectly for about 20 uploaded photos, then the plug-in stopped making thumbnails.

Firebug produces this:

element.dispatchEvent is not a function
fire()()prototype.js (line 3936)
_methodized()()prototype.js (line 247)
fireContentLoadedEvent()prototype.js (line 3969)
element.dispatchEvent(event);

that’s from the album photo management screen.

I’m testing BD Gallery here http://www.fineartpartnership.com/?search/artists/sacha-newley.html . It works fine using Firefox however with Internet Explorer 6 the scripting does not seen to work.

Anyone else found the sam problem?
