Forking FrogVery sad news, thank you for all your hard work Martijin, I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on Wolf CMS, looks very promising. |
Comment Plugin Admin ErrorSkye, I managed to fix this yesterday: I compared the config file from my fresh install and my old install, the only difference was the PDO setting – when I changed it to true my comments plugin worked. I hope this helps someone else it’s been driving me mad. |
Comment Plugin Admin ErrorThanks David, I am using MySQL – 5.0.51a (MySQL client version: 4.1.22) I did another fresh install and imported my db information and the problem fixed itself (but uncovered some more plugin related problems). But I still can’t get this to work for my main two installations. |
Comment Plugin Admin ErrorSkye I am having the exact same issue (I detailed it here), but no one seems to know why or how to fix it. Are you upgrading or is this a fresh install? |
Comments with gravatars SnippetThis works a treat, thank you! I had to tweak the ampersand to make it validate, but other than that very sound, thank you very much. |
Upgrading comment problem 0.9.4 to 0.9.5I take it no one else is having problems upgrading their version of frog then, just me? I’ve wanted to upgrade my installations of Frog since the stable version was released, I follow the upgrade instructions to the letter but I keep getting a blank comment tab. Turning debug mode on in config.php reveals the following:
I can’t upgrade until I figure this (and a few little quirks out) can anyone help? :( |
Comment Plugin Admin ErrorI’m afraid I can’t help, but I just wanted to start that I am having problems with the comment moderation feature too, when I try to upgrade from 0.9.4 to 0.9.5 stable. This is preventing me from upgrading at the moment. |
Frog version 0.9.5 stable releasedMany, many thanks! I will try to upgrade both my installs soon. ;) |
Blog with Frog?Future posting would be helpful! It’s one of the only things I am really hurting for atm. |
Blog with Frog?I blog with Frog and although its a relatively new site, with some tweaks I found it easier to get up and running than Wordpress, particularly in regards to templating. Although with Frog the emphasis as I understand it is on content management rather than blogging, and I do imagine I will come into serious archiving problems when my site reaches hundreds of blog posts, but these concerns are being discussed this thread, so it’s not as if a proper solution isn’t on the horizon. Personally, I needed a CMS first and a blog second, but its entirely possible to blog in Frog quite happily. |
Gravatar PluginThanks Andy, much appreciated! |
htaccess redirect produces 404I don’t know about David, but I am using 0.9.4 … |
[Sticky] Live sites running Frog CMSCouldn’t agree with you more about Wordpress, as great as it is, it does contain a lot of bloat. I always suspected that Frog would work better under these sort of circumstances, so its nice to have some physical proof of that. ;) |
Gravatar PluginHave a bit of feedback on this – it works great, but it would helpful if you could put an alt tag on the image. At the moment it causes a validation error on my otherwise tidy page, so I can’t use this at the moment, call me pedantic :( Easily fixed in the code I know, but I was thinking about tweaking this plugin so I could use it for my readers blog comments, so poses a problem for multiple gravatars. |
[Sticky] Live sites running Frog CMSThat’s awesome Pnikosis! Time to brush up on my Spanish ;) |
htaccess redirect produces 404Funny you should mention that, I’m having the same problem so I can’t redirect any old pages at the moment. Any help anyone can give would be most appreciated. |
Dashboard pluginWorking like a dream on my second installation, awesome job :D |
CMS Design ResourceI added a review too! Lovely site, it was really easy to navigate and everything generally worked as I expected to. Although I would make sure you have a thank you page to confirm forms have submitted correctly (on the design gallery form) as its not always clear without one whether or not your request has worked. On the whole though a very coherent website, bookmarked ;) |
[Sticky] Live sites running Frog CMSI’ve had a genuinely fun experience working with Frog for the first time, and thought I’d post the results here. |
Tag PrimerI was just going to ask if there was a way that I could contribute to the Frog documentation in any way. And that’s not a complaint – I would have given up if not for the extremely helpful guidance on the docs pages and support here, but I’d love to be able to start helping too. |
Tag PrimerFabulous! Thank you for this, although I’ve mostly worked most of these out now, a comprehensive list is always extremely useful. |
